    Varsity Football Head Coach

    Ryan Hasten

    Coach Hasten is a proud 2000 graduate of Quincy and brings four years of coaching experience to the football program. As a former standout athlete, he understands firsthand the impact that strong leadership, positive culture, and committed teammates can have on young athletes. During his time at Quincy, Coach Hasten earned Hall of Fame honors both individually and as a member of the 1999 football team and the 1998 state championship baseball team. Those experiences shaped his understanding of what great coaching and great teams look like, and they continue to fuel his passion for giving back to the program that helped shape his life. Coach Hasten and his wife, Lindsay, have been married since 2016. They have one daughter, Alex, who keeps them on their toes and is currently a green belt in karate. Family plays a central role in his life and reinforces the values he brings to coaching every day. Professionally, Coach Hasten has spent more than 20 years with Aunt Millie’s, where he currently serves as a Director in Supply Chain. The leadership development, teamwork, and professional growth he has experienced there have directly influenced his coaching style, emphasizing preparation, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Coach Hasten’s coaching philosophy is simple: inspire and motivate student-athletes to become the best version of themselves, both in the classroom and on the field. He believes that how we do anything is how we do everything. To him, success is built on three key pillars: attitude, effort, and preparation. When those values are consistently embodied, the scoreboard takes care of itself.

    Rich Field

    Coach Field was born and raised in Quincy, where he graduated as a member of the 2003–2004 Big 8 Championship football team. During his high school career, he earned All‑Conference and All‑State honors as a defensive lineman before continuing his playing career at Albion College. After college, Coach Field served in the United States Marine Corps as an avionics electrician and martial arts instructor. His service included a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his time in the Marines and travels around the world, he returned home to Quincy with his wife, Ashley, to raise their two boys. When asked what it means to coach in Quincy, he shared: “I’m fortunate enough to have a very blessed life and have been able to experience a lot of what the world has to offer. I truly believe the foundation our Quincy community and football program—especially the coaches—instilled in me as a young man set me up for success. Coaching is a wonderful way to give back to this community, and my goal is to be a positive and lasting influence on our athletes.

    Corey Harmon

    Coach Harmon is a proud graduate of Quincy Community Schools and is currently in his fifth year coaching high school football. Prior to joining the high school staff, he spent two years coaching middle school football, helping develop fundamentals and preparing athletes for the next level. His experience across multiple levels has given him a strong appreciation for long-term athlete development and building a cohesive program from the ground up. In addition to coaching, Coach Harmon has 13 years of experience as a Physical Education teacher, where he promotes lifelong fitness, teamwork, and character development. He is passionate about building relationships with student-athletes and creating a culture centered on accountability, effort, and pride in representing Quincy. Coach Harmon lives in Allen with his wife and their two children, Camden and Sophia. In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.

    Coach Alix Neitzert is entering her 18th year of coaching volleyball and currently serves as the Varsity Volleyball Head Coach, a passion that began even before her own high school graduation. As a proud Quincy High School alum, she brings a deep personal connection to the program. Now in her 5th year leading the Varsity at Quincy, Coach Alix remains dedicated to mentoring athletes and fostering player development at every level.

    Coach Bre brings 5 years of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for the game to the sport program. She is a class of 2022 Quincy HS graduate. Throughout her career, Coach Bre has coached AAU and middle school volleyball. In her free time, Coach Bre enjoys showing livestock, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Coach Angie Taylor brings three years of experience as a dedicated cheer coach bringing passion, leadership, and firsthand knowledge of the sport to every team she's lead. As a proud former cheerleader at Quincy High School, she is committed to building strong teams both on and off the mat. With a focus on technique, teamwork, and confidence, she strives to create a positive environment where athletes feel empowered to push their limits, trust their abilities, and support one another. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

    Coach Ivan Swift has dedicated more than 15 years to coaching soccer at both the middle school and high school levels. He began his coaching journey working with younger athletes through AYSO, where he developed a passion for teaching the game and mentoring young players. As a graduate of Quincy High School, Coach Ivan takes great pride in giving back to the community and helping shape the next generation of student-athletes. Coach Ivan lives in the Quincy area with his wife, and together they have three children who have all attended Quincy Schools and participated in multiple sports and school programs. When he is not on the soccer field, he enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with his family.

    Varsity Competitive Cheer Head Coach

    Kim Miller

    With eight years of coaching experience at Quincy, Kim Miller has worked hard to build and develop a thriving cheer program. When she restarted the program, it consisted of just seven athletes. Through dedication, strong leadership, and the support of an incredible coaching staff, the program has grown to more than 100 athletes spanning from youth cheer through the varsity level. During this time, the program has achieved significant competitive success, including four conference championships and three regional appearances. Beyond team accomplishments, Coach Miller takes pride in helping athletes grow both on and off the mat, with several former athletes continuing their cheer careers at the collegiate level. Passionate about mentorship and athlete development, Coach Miller remains committed to fostering leadership, sportsmanship, and a strong, competitive program. She continues to focus on building a lasting Quincy legacy that empowers athletes, strengthens the cheer community, and inspires future generations.

    Alicia Gross is a dedicated cheer coach, mentor, and proud cheer mom who has a lifelong love for the sport. She graduated from Union City where she cheered throughout both middle school and high school, building the foundation for the passion she now shares with her athletes. Alicia and her husband, Joseph Gross have four children. Three are Quincy graduates, and their youngest currently attends St. Charles. Supporting her children in athletics and school activities has always been an important part of her life and helped inspire her coaching journey. In 2019, Alicia began coaching Quincy Varsity Sideline Cheer. In 2021 she transitioned to Quincy Middle School, where she now coaches both sideline and competitive cheer. She also volunteers her time working with the Quincy youth cheer program, helping young athletes develop skills, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the sport at an early age. Alicia believes cheerleading is about much more than routines and competitions - it’s about building confidence, leadership, sportsmanship, and creating a family atmosphere where every athlete feels valued and supported. She takes great pride in watching her athletes grow not only as cheerleaders, but as strong and confident young individuals.

    Caleb McCavit

    Coach McCavit graduated from Quincy High School in the Class of 2019. Since then, he has earned his teaching degree from Central Michigan University and has taught Health, PE, and Weight Lifting at Quincy High School for three years. Coach McCavit has been coaching the 7th Grade Boys Basketball team for two years now and has also been the Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for three years. In his free time, Coach McCavit likes to hunt, golf, and spend time with his wife Victoria, their son Coen, and their two dogs.

    Coach Stuchell brings 15 years of coaching experience and an undeniable passion for basketball to the program. A proud Jonesville High School alum and 2007 Olivet College graduate, he has coached at every level—from middle school to varsity—building a fast-paced, team‑first culture wherever he goes. An accomplished athlete himself, Coach Stuchell now channels his competitive drive into developing basketball players who play with intensity, lead with confidence, and represent the program with outstanding character on and off the court. He resides in Quincy with his wife and their two children, who both attend Quincy Community Schools.

    Kojak Timmons

    Coach Kojak Timmons has been a coach of multiple sports for over 27 years. Coach Timmons is the Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach as well as an assistant coach for the middle school Cross Country and Track. Coach Timmons is also an assistant coach for the 8th grade boys basketball team and an assistant for the Varsity Girls basketball team. Coach Timmons is a graduate of Quincy High School however attended much of his middle school and high school years in Cape Cod Massachusetts where he was a state champion in Cross Country and played basketball, ran track, and played soccer and tennis for Dennis-Yarmouth regional high school. Coach Timmons went on to play Basketball for the University of Olivet. His knowledge and passion for all sports has led him to his roles here at Quincy Schools. Coach Timmons was a coach as well as the Vice President of QBSA. He is a very active member of his community! Giving back has always been part of his upbringing and passion for what he does today for QHS. Coach Timmons is a father of 6 and has a daughter in QHS (Kora Timmons) who is active in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Coach Timmons enjoys spending time with family, golf, hunting, and obviously coaching kids to help make today's society a better and more positive place. Coach Timmons owns his own construction company and partakes in his families Jimmy Johns business in Coldwater.

    Coach Uetrecht graduated from Quincy High School in 2009 and continued her basketball career for two years at the junior college level before finishing at Trine University. After college, she spent three years coaching at Trine and later returned to Quincy to coach boys JV basketball for two seasons. Following a short break from coaching, she is excited to be back on the sidelines coaching 8th grade girls basketball.

    Andrew Craig

    Andrew Craig has proudly served Quincy Schools and the Quincy community for over two decades. A 2002 graduate of Quincy High School, Andrew began working for the district immediately after graduation and has dedicated his career to investing in Quincy students both inside and outside the classroom. Coach Craig has led Quincy athletics for 8 years as Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls Bowling Coach and for 7 years as QMS Boys and Girls Cross Country Coach. His passion for building strong student-athletes extends well beyond the lanes and the trails. Within the school, Andrew has served as a Class Advisor for 12 years and has also taken on leadership roles as Student Council Advisor, Green Club Advisor, Varsity Club Advisor, and SADD Advisor—consistently working to create positive opportunities and meaningful experiences for students. He currently serves as President of the Quincy Baseball Softball Association, Executive Director of Quincy Youth Football, and helps facilitate the Qtown 5K/10K—strengthening youth programs across the community. Andrew is the proud father of four Quincy students: Piper (18), Graham (12), Mylee (9), and Lainey (5). He credits much of his success to his incredible support system at home—his wife, Bailey Craig, known by many as the “Queen of Main Street.” Without her support and the help of their children, many of the programs he is involved in simply would not be possible. In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, attending athletic events, and traveling with his wife. For Coach Craig, the greatest reward has been watching thousands of athletes grow through the programs he’s been blessed to be part of—finding success not just in competition, but in character, leadership, and life. He believes it takes special people to step up, volunteer, and make things happen, and he is grateful to be surrounded by some of the very best right here in Quincy.

    Varsity Boys/ Girls Wrestling Head Coach

    Matt Metz

    Coach Matt Metz currently serves as the Varsity Wrestling Head Coach after serving three years as an assistant coach. A graduate of Quincy High School, Coach Metz brings seven years of wrestling experience in both folkstyle and freestyle. During his four years with the program, he has helped build a culture centered on hard work, discipline, and teamwork while developing student-athletes both on and off the mat. In addition to coaching, Coach Metz works for the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) as a mechanic and electrical technician. He brings the same strong work ethic, leadership, and problem-solving mindset from his career into the wrestling room, helping athletes grow in character, accountability, and perseverance. Coach Metz and his wife, Kristie, are the proud parents of four children and enjoy supporting youth athletics and activities in their community.

    Coach Scott Metz is a former Quincy graduate who has returned to assist the varsity wrestling program. He brings nearly a decade of experience as a participant in the sport, with a goal of sharing the knowledge and insight he has gained through multiple wrestling programs and philosophies. He is committed to promoting the level of dedication and work ethic it takes to be successful in wrestling. Coach Metz is passionate about the sport, but also enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. He especially loves hitting the trails on just about anything with a motor.

    Dakota Hard

    Coach Hard has always had Wrestling be a significant impact on his life and has helped shape the person he is today. His years as a competitive wrestler taught him valuable lessons in discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. He was a four-year varsity wrestler at Quincy High School, where he also served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he was a state qualifier. As a former athlete, he understands the power of encouragement and structure for young wrestlers. He takes pride in fostering a supportive environment where every student feels valued, learns to respect teammates and opponents, and develops a love for the sport. His goal as a coach is not only to teach proper technique and strategy, but also to build character, confidence, and sportsmanship in every athlete he works with. He is excited about the opportunity to share his passion for wrestling and help middle school athletes discover what they’re capable of—on the mat and beyond. He has been coaching middle school wrestling for one year and hopes to continue for many years to come.

    Boys Varsity Golf Head Coach/ Varsity Football Assistant Coach

    Dave Bach

    Coach David Bach brings more than three decades of teaching and coaching experience and a lifelong passion for coaching high school athletes to Quincy Schools. Coach Bach begins his 5th year as Head Golf Coach at QHS. He was also Head Football Coach from 1997 - 2010 and has returned to the football staff in 2023. A Dearborn Divine Child HS and Michigan State University graduate, he won a Football State Championship in HS and coached a team that went on to win a State Championship. Throughout his career, Coach Bach has coached multiple levels of sports, from youth sports to middle school track and field to varsity baseball and football. As a retired PE Teacher, Coach Bach now focuses on fostering teamwork, leadership, and character within his program. He lives in Coldwater with his wife, Lynn. They have 2 children Eric, 27 and Alyssa, 23. They are both Coldwater HS and Michigan State University graduates. In his free time, Coach Bach enjoys golfing, and spending time with his family and traveling.

    Varsity Boys Track Head Coach

    Tanner Parshall

    Tanner Parshall is a 2015 graduate of QHS and a former sprinter for the program. After returning to the team as a volunteer coach in 2019, he continued to build his role within the program before being named Head Coach in 2024. Parshall now leads the sprint group and also serves as the team’s long jump coach, bringing his firsthand experience as a former athlete into his coaching. Under his leadership, the program captured the conference championship in 2025, highlighting the continued growth and competitiveness of the team. Coach Parshall believes strongly in a team-first mindset, emphasizing that every athlete plays an important role in the success of the program. His philosophy centers on the idea that there is strength in numbers, and he works to build a culture where athletes support one another while striving to improve individually. With a deep passion for track and field, Parshall is committed to passing on his love for the sport and helping each athlete develop both on and off the track. Coach Parshall also runs his own small business running a local HVAC company to further serve his community. He and his wife, Kaysee enjoy spending time camping and being outdoors, and spending time with family. They are also having their first child this year in 2026.

    Varsity Girls Track Coach

    Sandra Turner

    Coach Sandy Turner has been dedicated to student-athletes since she began coaching career in 2000. She currently serves as the Varsity Girls Track coach, her experience spans over two decades and multiple sports, including Varsity, JV, and 8th-grade volleyball, as well as middle school track and cross country. A former track athlete at Grand Valley State University, Sandy bring a deep understanding of the sport from both a competitive and technical perspective. That foundation is further strengthened by her life outside of school; she has been happily married for 29 years and am the proud mother of three athletes who all graduated from Quincy High School, one who currently holds the school record in pole vault. When not on the field, in the gym, or with her family, she is likely to be kept busy by her four dogs. My coaching philosophy centers on the relentless pursuit of individual improvement. As a professional bodybuilder and avid weightlifter, I live by the same principles I teach: while I appreciate the thrill of a win, I believe the true victory lies in the 'Personal Record.' Whether it’s on the court, the course, or the field, my goal is to empower every athlete to outdo their previous best.

    Pat Dillon

    Pat Dillon continues a lifelong passion of being an educator/ coach. Now in his plus 45 year tenure as a coach he draws on his positive experience as a player many years ago. His Father was an athletic director and Mother a school secretary so life growing up evolved around school activities. He played on a HS state championship football team and had many team and individual accolades along the way both as player and coach. He begin his coaching career at Jackson Lumen Christi while a student at JCC. As a student at CMU, Dillon coached 3 years of football at Mt Pleasant HS. After Graduation from CMU Dillon joined the teaching staff at Reading HS. There he taught high School English and coached football, basketball, baseball and even quiz bowl at some point in his 19 yrs at RHS. He also gained his Masters degree in Educational Leadership from WMU while at Reading From Reading he took opportunities at both Coldwater and Hillsdale College to serve their baseball programs under legendary leadership. He was able to meet and work with great people while honing his baseball craft. He left the classroom and went to work for the Hillsdale ISD where he was eventually named the Director of General Education. His coaching then was limited but he managed to be a part of some high level summer baseball teams. programs Including Jackson Wendy’s and the Kalamazoo Maroons. He retired from the HCISD in 2016 and found himself a new coaching home at Quincy where today he coaches ms football and basketball and directs the high school baseball program. Dillon lives in Reading. He and his wife Liz, now deceased, raised three children all of who are college graduates who played college athletics . He has 7 active grandchildren. He is a member of St Charles Parish and the Knight of Columbus where he teaches Bible Study. He also is a member of the the American Catholic Coaches Association ( ACCA) and the Michigan Sports Sages

    Kevin Dirschell

    Coach Dirschell has been coaching high school baseball for 13 years. The last 7 years as Quincy’s JV coach. He is also the 7th grade head football coach at Quincy. Coach Dirschell is a graduate of Quincy High School and played football and baseball during his time in high school. He is married to Krista Dirschell and they have 3 children. Brock a 2019 graduate from Quincy, Kale a freshman and Kye a 7th grader at Quincy. He is a proud grandpa to Maggie Mae.

    Joe Gross

    Coach Joe Gross serves as the varsity head coach of the Quincy Orioles Softball program, bringing passion, energy, and a commitment to excellence to every level of the program with a focus on fundamentals. Coach Gross has been a coach in the Quincy program for over a decade. He has one son and two daughters who graduated from Quincy, each earning varsity letters in either baseball or softball. His youngest daughter attends St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Coldwater with the dream of following in her sisters’ footsteps of playing Varsity softball in Quincy. Coach Joe Gross is married to Cheer Coach Alicia Gross who has lived together in Quincy going on two decades now. In his free time Coach Gross enjoys getting all the kids together for family meals, watching college softball games along with taking on the challenge of visiting every MLB teams stadium in his lifetime; 19 of 30 as of 2026.

    MS Boys Track Coach

    Jennifer Longardner

    Coach Jen Longardner is in her fourth year as Boy's Head Coach for QMS Track. She works with all mid-distance and distance runners on the team. Coach Longardner has been a teacher for 29 year, teaching many different subjects and grade levels at Quincy Schools. She is a distance runner that participates in many 5K races and even has a few 10Ks and a half marathon under her belt. Coach Longardner is also the Council Director for Girls on the Run of Branch County, where she brings the joy of running to 3-5 girls at our local elementary schools. This is her 5th year as director and she has been involved with the program as a coach and running buddy for 16 years. She is married to Jeff Longardner and has two children who are Quincy High School track athletes. She enjoys hiking with her two German Shepherds in her spare time.

    MS Girls Track Coach

    Jen Benson

    This will be Coach Benson's sixth year serving as the Girl's Head Coach for Middle School Track and Field. Coach works with all MS athletes in sprints and relays, and field events as needed. In HS, she ran track and was a varsity cheerleader. Her senior year, the girl's track team took first at State for the Division 4 meet and this achievement inducted the team into the Athletic Hall of Fame at her school. Coach Benson enjoys lifting and running in her spare time. This summer, she is planning to run several 5Ks and is signed up for her first mud race. She has been a teacher for 22 years. She also serves as a Class Advisor for the Class of 2026 and the MS Yearbook Advisor. She has been married to husband, Shaun, for 25 years and has four children, two of which are current students at Quincy Schools. Coach Benson's favorite thing to tell her athletes is, "You can do hard things."
