The Quincy Girls Track team enters the 2026 season with high expectations and plenty of excitement surrounding the program. Following a second place finish in the Big 8 Conference last season. This team brings back a talented group of returning athletes and a wave of promising newcomers, the Orioles are poised to make a strong impact this spring. Quincy brings back several experienced competitors who have already proven themselves in big meets, while also adding young athletes eager to make their mark at the varsity level. This combination of leadership and new energy gives the team both depth and versatility across events. The early part of the season has already shown positive signs. The Orioles recently traveled to Saginaw Valley State University to compete in the SVSU Invitational, and for the first meet of the season-with just two weeks of practice the team delivered an impressive performance. Quincy medalists included Alex Reif, who placed 7th in the 1600m run; Addison Hasten and Isaiah Staggs, who each took 6th in the shot put; and Lincoln Sims, who earned a 5th-place finish in the shot put. In field events, Ashlyn Fickle placed 6th in the high jump. On the track, Brookelyn Parker took 8th in the 400m run and highlighted the day by winning the 60m hurdles to become the SVSU Invitational champion. With a strong start to the season and continued growth ahead, the Orioles are looking to compete at a high level in the Big 8 Conference and beyond. The combination of experience, emerging talent, and early success points to a very promising 2026 season for Quincy Girls Track.
